The new terminal stands as the largest public construction capital improvement project undertaken by Sacramento County to date.

Sacramento International Airport’s new Terminal B officially opened its doors Oct. 6.

This 424,000 square foot four-story building is the new terminal for international arrivals. The $1.27 billion project, dubbed “The Big Build”, was the largest capital improvement program in the history of Sacramento County. The design allows natural light to stream through a weave of structural steel, recreating the canopy effect common along Sacramento’s tree-lined streets. The building is designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification.
